39-Minute Delivery Promise Ts & Cs
39-Minute Delivery Promise - Ts & Cs
1. Introduction and Scope
Welcome to Scooters Pizza, where we deliver “Our Legendary Delivery Promise” of fresh, hot pizza within 39 minutes or it’s free! These Terms and Conditions govern our 39-Minute Delivery Promise and form part of your contract with Scooters Pizza when you place a delivery order. By placing an order for delivery with Scooters Pizza, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
This document complies with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 [1] and ensures fair, reasonable, and just terms for all our customers while maintaining our commitment to exceptional service delivery.
2. The 39-Minute Delivery Promise
We guarantee to deliver your order to your specified delivery address within 39 minutes of order confirmation, or your order is completely free. This promise represents our commitment to providing the fastest pizza delivery service in South Africa, significantly exceeding the industry standard of 45-60 minutes.
2.1 Promise Activation
The 39-minute delivery promise automatically applies to all qualifying orders placed within our designated delivery zones during standard operating hours, subject to the terms and exceptions outlined in this document.
2.2 Timer Commencement
The 39-minute countdown begins at the exact moment you receive your order confirmation notification via SMS, email, or mobile app notification. This confirmation will clearly display the order time and your estimated delivery time.
3. Delivery Zones and Service Areas
Our 39-Minute Delivery Promise applies exclusively to addresses within our carefully mapped delivery zones, designed to ensure we can consistently meet our delivery commitment. Our delivery zones are structured as follow

3.1 Zone Verification
You can verify if your delivery address falls within our service zones by using the address verification tool on our website, mobile app, or by contacting our customer service team. Orders placed outside our designated delivery zones will not be eligible for the 39-minute promise and may be subject to extended delivery times.
3.2 Zone Adjustments
Scooters Pizza reserves the right to adjust delivery zone boundaries based on operational requirements, traffic patterns, seasonal conditions, or safety considerations. Customers will be notified of any permanent zone changes that affect their delivery eligibility.
4. Order Requirements and Minimum Values
4.1 Minimum Order Value
To qualify for delivery service, orders must meet a minimum value of R100. This minimum ensures operational efficiency and helps us maintain our 39-minute delivery promise.
4.2 Order Processing
All orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to orders approaching the 39-minute deadline. Our kitchen operations are optimized to maintain consistent preparation times while ensuring food quality and safety standards.
5. Late Delivery Compensation
If we fail to deliver your order within the guaranteed 39-minute timeframe, you are entitled to receive your complete order at no charge. The following compensation process applies:
5.1 Automatic Compensation
• Our delivery driver will inform you upon arrival that the delivery exceeded the 39-minute promise
• You will receive your order without any payment required
• If you have already paid online or via card, a full refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5-7 business days
• Cash payments will be refunded immediately by the delivery driver
5.2 Compensation Verification
Late delivery compensation is automatically tracked through our order management system. No additional documentation or proof is required from the customer, as our system maintains accurate delivery timestamps.
